Cox Covered Bridge in Vinton County

  1. How beautiful! What a wonderful bit of history that we are so lucky to be able to see. Thank you so much for sharing this. I don't think I know of any covered bridges in my own area. It's funny though when you think of it. They seem so darned romantic and yet they're really just a roof and some sides over a bridge. LOL Still I just love them. I wish we would build more of them. I suppose there aren't that many one lane roads/bridges left though and maybe that's part of the allure.
Oh, I am going on. I guess I just liked this post. Thank you. That was fun. :-)

  3. Great post. That is one covered bridge I've missed. I've always been fascinated by the Adena culture but had no idea those mounds are located near Laurelville. Amazing... Let you in on a secret (furure post of mine) the lake at Tar Hollow has been completely drained. They are re-doing the beach area and in process of lowering the lake level had a problem with the gate hence the whole lake is drained.Makes for some different photos LOL
