Do birds shiver?
Birds will shiver for many reasons, but basically for the
same ones that we do -to increase body temperature
and when they are frightened, excited or nervous.
After wet or dry bathing, sometimes to "fluff" out the
feathers that are wet or dusty.

When we were children we just called them snowbirds.
They seemed to show up in the winter when the snow fell.
These little Junco's are ever present at my bird feeders
these cold, snow covered days.
Do not forget to keep your feeders filled and fresh water
supplied for these little visitors.
